Motivate Your Child to Do Chores

Performing chores teaches your child responsibility.  The Chore Chart is simple to use.  For younger children, once they’ve performed the activity, they can add a sticker or mark, such as a smiley face,  to the chart.   For older children, they may just want to check off that the chore has been completed.

We provide a list of Age Appropriate Chores for you to choose from or you can use your own.

It is up to you as parents if you want to provide your child with incentives for completing their chores.  For some children, the chart or stickers may be enough of an incentive.    Another option is to choose from our list of easy and fun Incentives.

For some children, it works well to do chores and homework before fun activities.   If the child knows they have to do chores before anything else, they will learn to do it without being told.   Once your child gets into a routine, they will feel a sense of accomplishment.  Everybody in the house will be happier because your home will be more peaceful and your child will be learning good work ethic.
